24x7 Oracle support specialist will be responsible for providing support as a first contact point for all customers who require support within the Oracle database. Our new colleague will be responsible for monitoring database performance and user access to the database. You will perform the backup and recovery of database and be in contact with technical support at Oracle Corporation.

Náplň práce

  • Troubleshoot Oracle related issues.
  • Perform the backup and recovery of database.
  • Cooperate on addressing errors requiring Oracle Support.
  • Take full end-to-end responsibility for assuring permanent correct fixed for issues related to basic administration.
  • Minimize activities with a negative impact on operating environment availability, schedule any necessary system outages with appropriate key account manager.
  • Work with third party support centres on gathering necessary information for resolution of any issues or errors in the production environment.
  • Proactively monitor all IT Operations systems in the field of databases. 
  • Cooperate with application development and testing department on addressing problems and errors in production environment.
  • Attend to tasks assigned through request management system (JIRA, etc.) concerning task severity and criticality and business SLAs.

Požadavky

  • High school education/university degree in IT or relevant background.
  • Basic knowledge of Database technology.
  • System monitoring and reporting tools.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL language. 
  • PL/SQL coding experience.
  • Basic HP-UX and/or Linux administration.
  • Willingness to work on the 3 shift model (morning, evening, night, weekends and holiday).
  • Strong analytical and technical skills.
  • Solid team worker manners and strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and drive small internal projects on time and in expected quality.
  • Strong sense of ownership and customer focus.
  • Basic understanding of IT operations processes and practices
  • English spoken and written.
